Why are we called The Midway?

Growing up in Gig Harbor, Trish and Nick rode the bus past the old Midway School house on 38th Street every day. It was worn down, a little eerie, and every kid swore it was haunted. Naturally, it became legendary.

The Midway schoolhouse still stands in Downtown Gig Harbor, right behind the museum. A place people decided was worth holding onto.

Their mom, an educator, is where their love of food, entertaining, and bringing people together began. The Midway is our way of honoring her. Every meal, every guest, every story shared continues what she started.

Family. Community. Education. Food. Entertaining. History. Love.
